One Trick Pony
One trick pony, 2012. large plastic horse, resin, plastic hair, smoke, a cubic zirconia, plastic tubing, plumbing fittings, smoke machine, plywood, custom extension lead, two glitter shoelaces.
I love this horse. She blows smoke from her nostrils and she makes me happy. For me it is the best mix of obvious and hidden magic. I always wanted a horse and I will always love these realistic, smooth, hard plastic creatures - she is about the size of a beagle.

I made all of this - from casting the resin, embedding pipes, creating a hair weave and importing a tiny smoke machine to hide in the mechanic. It was mostly assumed to be some sort of fancy off the shelf toy, which is a type of win.
